GAME SHOW MUSIC UP AND UNDER

HOST: Welcome to … Name That Payment!

HOST: Welcome to Name that Payment, the game where you name the right faster payment type! Here are the payment options …
Same-day ACH … These are NACHA credits and debits that settle by 5 p.m. local time on the day you initiate them.
Push to Card … The payment that goes onto the payee’s debit card in minutes.
Zelle … sends money typically within minutes by using the recipient’s email address or mobile phone number on file.
And RTP payments… The fast payment type that’s rolling out now.

HOST: The first round of questions tests your knowledge of the payment types.
Name a payment that’s universally available in the U.S. today.

SOUND EFFECT: BUZZER

PLAYER 2: Same-day ACH!

HOST: Correct! Same-day ACH is the payment that’s universally available and accepted.

HOST: Name the payments that run on new application program interface or API technology.

SOUND EFFECT: BUZZER

PLAYER 1: Push to Card and RTP!

HOST: Yes! Push to Card and RTP payments run on API technology, while Same-day ACH and Zelle run on traditional payment channels.

HOST: Name the payments used for business-to-consumer transactions only.

SOUND EFFECT: BUZZER

PLAYER 3: Push to Card and Zelle.

HOST: That’s right! Same-day ACH and RTP payments accommodate both B2C and C2B payments.

HOST: Here’s the tie-breaker: Name the payment that provides the most remittance information.

SOUND EFFECT: BUZZER

PLAYER 2: RTP!

HOST: Oooh, I’m sorry. The answer is Same Day ACH.  However, in the future, RTP payments will have robust remittance PLUS bi-directional messaging! You’ll be able to send electronic invoices and requests for payment through the RTP network.

HOST: The next round of questions tests your knowledge of faster payment uses.

HOST: A university needs to make per diem payments to its athletes. Name that payment.

SOUND EFFECT: DINGING SOUND

PLAYER 3: Zelle

HOST: Correct. All you need are the email addresses or cell phone numbers of registered payees.

HOST: You need to get money to your policyholders and employees fast after a devastating storm. Name that payment.

SOUND EFFECT: DINGING SOUND

PLAYER 1: Push to Card or Zelle!

HOST: Correct. Even if they’ve lost their home, they’ll likely have their wallet or handbag with their debit card in it. They can also receive funds through Zelle, if they’re registered.

HOST: An employer needs to pay temporary or free-lance employees.

SOUND EFFECT: DINGING SOUND

PLAYER 2: RTP

HOST: Yes! RTP payments eliminate the hassle of checks AND escheatment issues.

HOST: A large biller wants to speed the collection of consumer payments.

SOUND EFFECT: DINGING SOUND

PLAYER 1: Same-day ACH

HOST: Yes! Only Same-Day ACH can be used for both credits and debits.

HOST: A business wants to pay suppliers as late as possible and still capture discounts.

SOUND EFFECT: DINGING SOUND

PLAYER 2: RTP
PLAYER 3: Same-Day ACH

HOST: You’re both right! With RTP payments and Same-Day ACH, you can keep your working capital working until the last day supplier discounts are available.

HOST: So with that final question we have a tie! Faster payments can help speed cash flow, increase working capital, cut payment costs, and satisfy customers. So, remember – no matter which faster payment type you choose, you’ll be ahead of the game!
